What's with the current cars being unable to beat LAST year's Ferrari? Surely a team somewhere in the ether should be able to make a fast car Frown

McLaren and Williams should put in a good challenge, but its the driver of the Ferrari that they can't beat.

ferrari were in there old cars last week aswell. the only way others are going to win is schumacher crashing out because ferrari are 10 years ahead of their rivals

it was not last year's Ferrari it was a mixture as it was the basic car of last year with some new bits of this years car added on. But i agree it looks like title number 5 for schumacher.

Ferrari have the best infrastucture and the biggest bank balance. It's as simple as that.

The tyres also have to be taken into account....the michelins tend to do well in the warmer circuits.....while the bridgestones have an advantage in the cooler temperaturs.

Most teams could beat Ferraris time during testing... they could just go I for one lap with hardly any fuel... just coz teams do well in testing does not mean that will do well during the year... last year Arrows were getting amazing test times, look where they are on the grid.

If you can't beat em join em. I'm not a Ferrari fan myself, was Williams till then went crap, and Mclaren owned the championship for Two years, now its Ferrari's turn. I support Jaguar, you don't see me buying shares in them though. Ferrari is the best team, M.Shummie is best Driver combined their almost unstoppable.

Young Mister Montoya is the hero of Sepang. He had the cheek to tackle M.Schu and was given a drive thru penalty for doing what he is paid to do!He drove a racing car in a race and went to pass the most unsporting driver on the track.
"Ye gads sir how dare you race a racing car in a race!Don't you know the script you cheeky racing driver you?"

Micheal Schumacher was lucky to finish 3rd. I agree he did well for himself but that is not the point I am trying to make... Ferrari did not dominate proceedings as had been anticipated. When Schumacher was at the back of the field the gap was about 43 seconds. Throughout the race that gap remained almost static and at times increased. Schumacher did not finish 3rd because he is a great driver. He finished 3rd because of other peoples misfortune and because everyone he passed had a slower car than he did. If he is so good, he should have closed the gap while carving through the field at the same time. But when it came to the Williams, well this weekend he could not compete...

Schumacher will race in the F2002 in brazil. does not look good for other teams with the F2002 reported to be over 1 second a lap faster.but Barrichello will continue to rave in the F2001 car
